Duncanville ISD Device Distribution Information
Duncanville ISD is working diligently to provide devices to students who have a critical need. We understand there are students who do not have access to a computer at home preventing them from completing assignments digitally while campuses are closed.
The COVID-19 pandemic has presented challenges for all of us. Please keep in mind that the District has a limited supply of devices. It is our sincere desire to provide support and opportunity to as many students as we can so they can successfully complete the 2020-2021 school year. For our families who are unable to receive a technology device, the district is finalizing alternatives such as work study packets.
Returning students who come to school next year will be provided with strategic support to assist them in filling potential instructional gaps due to COVID-19.
Prior to coming to pick-up a loaner Chromebook, please review the following. If your answer is “YES” to any of these questions, refrain from picking up a loaner Chromebook at this time and notify the campus principal.

Have you had any close social contact (CDC defined as less than 6 feet) with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
Have you or someone living in your household or a partner, returned from or made a connection through a CDC level 3 country (China, Iran, Europe, S. Korea, United Kingdom, Ireland) in the last 14 days?
Do you currently have or have you had within the last 24 hours, any cold or flu symptoms and a fever greater than 100 degrees F (38 degrees C)?
Loan Program Guidelines
Duncanville ISD will issue only one device per household.
If your child has been identified as a recipient of a device, but you have reliable Internet and a device at home already, we ask that you forego accepting a District device to allow for other students who do not have access to at-home technology.
Parents/guardians must present school-issued student ID in order to pick up a device.
Parents/guardians who do not have a school-issued student ID must attend pick-up at designated time and must present the last 4 digits of the student's social security number or date of birth.
We realize that many students need devices for instructional use. At this time, we have issued over 6,000 devices to families. As shipments are delivered and prepared, we will continue to issue additional devices. If you are new to the district and need a device or your have not already registered for a device, please complete the form below. Keep in mind, if you already have a child in your home that has a district-issued device, you will be added to a waiting list. Our goal is to provide at least one device per household. We will re-evaluate the current needs as more devices arrive. If you have a family of more 5 children or more, please indicate this information when you complete the form below.
